WELCOME TO OUR STORY OF FAITH AND COMMUNITY

                                                                         OUR HISTORY

From modest beginnings, we've grown through unwavering dedication and a commitment to continuous improvement. Each step has reinforced our core belief in the power of collaboration and the importance of integrity. We're passionate about what we do, and we're excited to share our story with you.

OUR COMMUNITY ORIGIN

Trinity Presbyterian Church was born when Helen Adams, a teacher at North Gadsden Elementary School, was asked by her students to start a Sunday School. Sponsored by First Presbyterian Church, classes were held in a house that was donated by Joseph W. Hammond Junior. Year by year, the Sunday School continued to grow and eventually they out-grew their meeting place.

In 1924 a new two-story building was erected and the Sunday School became a mission church on July 13, 1924. Twenty years later, the Session of First Presbyterian Church moved to have the mission church organized and dedicated on November 12, 1944.

As Gadsden's economy grew, so did the congregation of North Gadsden Presbyterian Church. Once again it was decided that the church needed larger facilities, so a site was chosen on Ewing Avenue (now Albert Rains Blvd.) and the new church was built. The new church, was named Trinity Presbyterian Church, was officially dedicated on October 11, 1987 and is this area's only PC(USA) congregation.
